I was quite shocked of the statements of Mr. Williams, an artist who I admire a lot, however, about his being in favor of some form of special schools for disabled pupils. Beyond the fact that everyone can have opinions they want, what I find worrying is the deleterious effect that such a message can have on public opinion ... I never heard a different, and even a victim of discrimination. I think that even in the classroom without teacher support, thanks to the strong feeling that was created each time with his teammates. I just finished school studies, and the classroom environment I miss very much. I often go to speak at schools, telling my story, to converse without pretending to teach anything, and every time that I send the boys and the harmony that is born (maybe in one hour meeting) is moving . This is because the beauty of life and human relations lies in "diversity." There is no normality, none of us is totally the same as another. Any good psychologist or educator would tell you that the proper development of a person passes through a comparison with those who are different, and even a lot, and not with those who live in similar situations. I can not even imagine how my life would have been if I had spent my school years in a facility full of sad, "people like me" rather than live them with joy and lightheartedness.
